Cthulu...I mean, Chihuly exhibit at the Denver Botanic Gardens

My mom and I had a fun day at the Denver Botanic Gardens and the Molly Brown House recently. Unfortunately, we couldn't take pictures in the Molly Brown House but were able to get tons of pictures at the Botanic Gardens. The Botanic Gardens had just started the new Chihuly exhibit and the place was packed in the middle of a weekday afternoon. Take a gander at the photos below and you will soon notice a tentacle-like theme throughout. That coupled with Dale Chihuly's name means all I can think about is Cthulu when I look at the photos.

I grew up in Denver but I had never gone to the Gardens before and I was quiet surprised at how large the space is. There were so many things to explore in addition to the exhibit and I think it is worth the admission price to wander around for a day. I think the only thing I would have done differently would have been to go to the Molly Brown House first and then go to the Gardens later in the day so that we could have had dinner there and then walked around to see the Chihuly exhibit during the daylight and then lit up at night. The Gardens was a great place to go as I nurture my interests in urban homesteading and permaculture and the Molly Brown House gave me the chance to connect to a time in history that I am enthusiastic about and with a person whom I admire greatly. Check them out if you get the opportunity.
